There will not be one stone left upon another that will not be thrown down.\u201d As he was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple area, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked him privately, \u201cTell us, when will this happen, and what sign will there be when all these things are about to come to an end?\u201d Jesus began to say to them, \u201cSee that no one deceives you. Many will come in my name saying, \u2018I am he,\u2019 and they will deceive many. When you hear of wars and reports of wars do not be alarmed; such things must happen, but it will not yet be the end. Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. You will be hated by all because of my name. But the one who perseveres to the end will be saved. \u201cWhen you see the desolating abomination standing where he should not (let the reader understand), then those in Judea must flee to the mountains, (and) a person on a housetop must not go down or enter to get anything out of his house, and a person in a field must not return to get his cloak. Mentre il Signore Ges\u00f9 usciva dal tempio, uno dei suoi discepoli gli disse: \u00abMaestro, guarda che pietre e che costruzioni!\u00bb. Ges\u00f9 gli rispose: \u00abVedi queste grandi costruzioni? Non sar\u00e0 lasciata qui pietra su pietra che non venga distrutta\u00bb. Mentre stava sul monte degli Ulivi, seduto di fronte al tempio, Pietro, Giacomo, Giovanni e Andrea lo interrogavano in disparte: \u00abDi\u2019 a noi: quando accadranno queste cose e quale sar\u00e0 il segno quando tutte queste cose staranno per compiersi?\u00bb. Ges\u00f9 si mise a dire loro: \u00abBadate che nessuno v\u2019inganni! Molti verranno nel mio nome, dicendo: \u201cSono io\u201d, e trarranno molti in inganno. E quando sentirete di guerre e di rumori di guerre, non allarmatevi; deve avvenire, ma non \u00e8 ancora la fine. Si sollever\u00e0 infatti nazione contro nazione e regno contro regno; vi saranno terremoti in diversi luoghi e vi saranno carestie: questo \u00e8 l\u2019inizio dei dolori. Ma voi badate a voi stessi! Vi consegneranno ai sinedri, sarete percossi nelle sinagoghe e comparirete davanti a governatori e re per causa mia, per dare testimonianza a loro. Ma prima \u00e8 necessario che il Vangelo sia proclamato a tutte le nazioni. E quando vi condurranno via per consegnarvi, non preoccupatevi prima di quello che direte, ma dite ci\u00f2 che in quell\u2019ora vi sar\u00e0 dato: perch\u00e9 non siete voi a parlare, ma lo Spirito Santo. Il fratello far\u00e0 morire il fratello, il padre il figlio, e i figli si alzeranno ad accusare i genitori e li uccideranno. Sarete odiati da tutti a causa del mio nome. Ma chi avr\u00e0 perseverato fino alla fine sar\u00e0 salvato. Pregate che ci\u00f2 non accada d\u2019inverno; perch\u00e9 quelli saranno giorni di tribolazione, quale non vi \u00e8 mai stata dall\u2019inizio della creazione, fatta da Dio, fino ad ora, e mai pi\u00f9 vi sar\u00e0. E se il Signore non abbreviasse quei giorni, nessuno si salverebbe. Ma, grazie agli eletti che egli si \u00e8 scelto, ha abbreviato quei giorni. Allora, se qualcuno vi dir\u00e0: \u201cEcco, il Cristo \u00e8 qui; ecco, \u00e8 l\u00e0\u201d, voi non credeteci; perch\u00e9 sorgeranno falsi cristi e falsi profeti e faranno segni e prodigi per ingannare, se possibile, gli eletti. Voi, per\u00f2, fate attenzione!
