From December 15 to 23, the Church of the Carmine will celebrate Simbang Gabi, a precious Filipino Catholic tradition that consists of nine Masses in preparation for Christmas, originally celebrated at dawn.
It is a way to prepare spiritually for the birth of Jesus, accompanied by joyful songs, prayers and moments of community sharing.
For the Filipino community, Simbang Gabi is also a way to feel at home in celebrating Christmas, even here in Milan, sharing faith, the spirit of hope and this beautiful tradition.
